Lang, lang hat’s gedauert, aber der Prüfungsstress hat mich voll im Griff. Nichtsdestotrotz habe ich mir den Tag heute freigenommen. Da ich versuche, meinen zwar nicht so großen, aber doch irgendwie vorhandenen Stoffberg abzubauen, setze ich mich heute an das Hippiekleid aus Burda 05/2010, zu sehen hier.

Auch das Himbeerkleid war ja schon UWYH (also use, what you have), und nun folgt ein Stoff, von dem Herr Schlafschaf gesagt hat, dass ich daraus bitte nichts nähen solle, da er sowas aus seiner Jugend noch kennt und das damals immer dicke, alte Frauen getragen haben.

Wie auch immer- ich mache da trotzdem ein Kleid draus- der Stoff ist Viskose und wird sich sicherlich toll anfühlen auf der Haut.

In production: The Hippie Dress

It has been quite a while since my last post. That is due to a situation that is stressing me out: I have a big test coming up that will be very demanding. Still, I decided to have a break today and start making another dress for myself: the hippie dress! To get a picture of what it will look like: Here it is.

My boyfriend doesn’t want me to use the fabric I’m about to show you; he says that in his youth, only old, fat women wore stuff like that. Well- whatever. I’m still going to make the dress out of this exact fabric- it is a very skin-friendly one and I like it. Besides that, I am trying to reduce the amount of fabric I have lying around here.  So I am trying to only use stuff I already have for my sewing projects. So this is the fabric: 

Der Stoff hat einen doch nicht wirklich dezenten Pink-Anteil, aber hier fand ich das ok. Normalerweise trage ich ja kein Pink *ähem*.

I know, it has pink in it, but this time I found it ok. Normally, I don’t wear pink though. 

Ich bin mir noch nicht ganz sicher, ob ich das Kleid so lang machen soll wie Burda das vorschlägt oder einfach etwas kürzer. Na ja, wir werden sehen.

I’m not sure yet if I will shorten the dress a bit. Maybe- let’s see.
