Gestern habe ich es noch geschafft, alles zuzuschneiden (der Stoff ist aufgrund seiner Seersucker-artigen Oberfläche echt nicht der einfachste zum Zuschneiden- er strecht sich und wellt sich und wehrt sich, aber es ging trotzdem) und zu versäubern. Nun liegt alles schön ordentlich da und wartet darauf, dass ich es wahrscheinlich am Donnerstag oder Freitag weiternähen kann.

Der Stoff ist übrigens jetzt so gut wie aufgebraucht. Es ist nur noch ein kleines Häufchen mit Resten übriggeblieben. Yay!

Step 1: All cut out and serged

Yesterday, I could manage to cut it all out (the fabric is a bit strechy and not as easy to cut out as cotton is, for example) and serge every part of the dress. Now it’s all waiting for me to go on sewing. I guess this will be on thursday, maybe on friday.

I almost used all of this fabric for cutting out the dress, so it’s almost gone now. That’s just what I wanted (and what I bought it for). Yay!

Das Prinzip des Kleides ist recht einfach: man näht ein mit dem Oberstoff gedoppeltes Oberteil (ich habe die zwei anderen Schnitteile auf dem Foto weggelassen, damit man die Form des Oberteils besser sieht) und hängt unten einen Stufenrock an.

The construction of this dress is pretty easy: you make the top part and then add a 3-leveled-skirt to it. 

Das Kleid wird sowas von bunt- ich hoffe mal, dass ich mir das nicht übersehe und es dann nicht mehr mag. Aber naja, im Winter kann ich mich davon ja erholen

This dress is just so colourful- I hope I still like it after a while. But I can recover from all the bright colors in winter, so I might still like it next summer 😉 .
