Jaaa, wir waren gestern draußen, um Fotos zu machen. Leider hat eine riesige Wolkenwand während der meisten Zeit die Sonne verdeckt, so dass wir keine hübschen Bilder bekommen haben. Also müssen wir am Samstag (vielleicht morgens) nochmal rausgehen und werden dann hoffentlich hübsche Fotos bekommen.
Als kleines Zwischenspiel habe ich gestern wieder ein bisschen UWYH (use what you have) betrieben und für eine Freundin einen Rock genäht. Der Rock ist aus dem Traubenstoff, der hier schon etwas länger herumliegt und für den ich somit endlich eine gute Verwendungsmöglichkeitgefunden habe.
Interlude: Grape-Skirt
Yes, we were out there to take some pictures yesterday- unfortunately, there were lots of clouds in front of the sun- so most of the pictures are not as beautiful as they could be. Hopefully, we can do another photoshoot on saturday. I’m looking forward to it.
As a little „interlude“, I made a grape-skirt yesterday. The skirt is for a friend of mine, we wear it over our horse-riding pants so the car doesn’t become all dirty. This is why it had to be so long 🙂 I’m really happy to have found a good way to use the grape-fabric- previously, I was lacking ideas for this one.
Da der Traubenstoff leider nicht ganz gereicht hat, musste ich einen Streifen schwarze Ditte einsetzen. Der Schnitt ist in etwas abgewandelter Form der Stufenrock-Schnitt nach Natron und Soda. Hierbei habe ich gleich die Gelegenheit genutzt und viele Fotos gemacht, um ein Tutorial für Nähanfänger dazu schreiben zu können. Das Tutorial findet ihr hier.
Zu dem Zeitpunkt, als das Foto entstanden ist, war der Rock unten nur versäubert- aber wenn Herr Schlafschaf sagt „jetzt könnten wir mal Fotos machen!“, dann nehme ich in Windeseile alle meine Sachen und bin sofort zur Stelle. Das ist auch der Grund, aus dem ich es nie schaffe, mich zu schminken- ich muss immer fürchten, dass sonst die Sonne weg sein könnte. 
Due to the fact that I didn’t have enough of the grape fabric, I had to use a piece of black fabric for the middle part. While making the three-leveld skirt, I took many, many pictures to be able to write a tutorial about this (for beginners). You can find it here. By the time we took this picture, the seam at the lower end wasn’t done yet. That’s what happens when my boyfriend tells me that he’s ready to take some pictures now, „but the sun will be gone soon“. I just say „ok“ and grab all the stuff that I want pictures of. Even if the seam isn’t done yet
By the way: that is also the reason why I never get to put any make-up on: I always have to fear that the sun will be gone by the time I’m done with it. 😉

Im Nachhinein muss ich sagen: Ich habe die erste Stufe etwas breiter gemacht nach meiner Erfahrung mit dem letzten Stufenrock, das war eine gute Idee. Allerdings hätte ich die zweite Stufe auch entsprechend breiter machen müssen. Nächstes Mal denke ich dran.
I widened the first level of the skirt (which was a good idea), but it would have been good to also widen the second level, so the ratio is kept the same. Got to do this for my next skirt.
